Membership

(a) Full Members

Any medical practitioner normally residing in Hong Kong who has an interest in tumours of the nervous system shall be eligible for application to be admitted as a full member of the Society upon the written recommendation of two full members of the Society. All applications for full membership are subject to approval by the Council. Full member has voting right and shall be eligible for election to office.

(b) Associate Members

Any person who is involved in the study or care of patients with tumours of the nervous system but is not qualified to be registered as a medical practitioner or not normally residing in Hong Kong shall be eligible for application to be admitted as an associate member of the Society upon the written recommendation of two full members of the Society, or one full member and one associate member. All applications are subject to approval by the Council. Associate members shall have no voting rights and shall not be eligible for election to office.

(c) Honorary Members

The Council may recommend at the annual General Meeting distinguished persons in the field of tumours of the nervous system or persons or corporations who have in the opinion of the Council made great contributions to the Society to become honorary members. Honorary members shall have no voting rights and shall not be eligible for election to office.

No subscription fee will be levied at present.
